Why Shakespeare?: My experience so far has been all musical theater and I’d like to step out of my comfort zone and try something new and fun.

Favorite Play: Whichever play I'm working on. But who doesn’t love the balcony scene in R&J?

Why Shakespeare?: Allows me to be in spiritual community with actors and audiences alike.

Favorite Play: Much Ado About Nothing for the laughs.  King John for the tears.

Why Shakespeare: It’s scared me and excited me my whole life. Being a part of the long history of actors who have spoken these same words over the years is like being a part of a magical tribe.

Why Shakespeare?: I love finding my own voice through his characters, as well as the intimacy and closeness that comes in community with actors and audience.There’s a safety in the danger and risk of it all.

Why Shakespeare?: I love the mystery in all of Shakespeare's works. On and off stage. I love the distance between Elizabethan language and our current vernacular and the challenge in closing the gap. I learn more about humans each time I see, or do, one of his plays.

Why Shakespeare: Since working with Venture my love for Shakespeare has only grown. The language is so fun to dissect and explore and I love being able to bring my 21st century experiences to William’s world.
